"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change." - Carl Rogers

WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR VISIT
Understanding, Acceptance, and Repair
Throughout our lives, many of us have been given messages about ourselves that were unkind. Over time, if we heard or experienced them often enough, we began to believe them. This unwelcome belief system often leads to feelings of anxiety and depression, difficulty forming healthy relationships, and addiction to substances or other forms of self-harm. I believe my job as a therapist is to help you learn about the roots of negative feelings you have about yourself, how they relate to current unwanted behaviors, and how to change those behaviors. Together we can alter habits and ways of thinking that no longer serve you so that you can experience yourself in a different way, appreciating your true worth and finding value in the life you were given.
